Fence builders, West Auckland
Boundary fences, privacy screening, pool fencing, gates and full replacements, built in treated timber.
What is covered
A fence is only as good as its posts
In West Auckland's heavy clay, shallow post holes are why fences lean by the second winter. Posts go in to structural depth, anchored in high strength concrete, with H4 treated timber below ground, H3.2 rails above it and premium paling profiles on top.
Straight lines on ground that is not straight
Sloping sections are the usual reason a fence looks wrong. Alignment and levels get set before the first paling goes on, and on steep sites the fence can be combined with a timber retaining wall to hold the level and win back usable yard.

AvondaleCommon questions
How high can I build without consent?
Under Auckland Council rules you can generally build a residential fence up to 2 metres without a building consent. Pool fencing and front road boundary walls have their own rules.
Who pays for a shared boundary fence?
Under the Fencing Act 1978 neighbours generally share the cost of an adequate boundary fence equally. We can give you a clear written quote to hand to your neighbour so that conversation is simple.
Do you remove the old fence?
Yes. Removal and disposal of the existing fence can be included in the job.
